I cut/removed my 5-year-old locs!!! @phetteogburn #ShortHairDontCare #Tapered #Shaved #Natural

Hey y’all,

In the vid below, I talk about how/why I removed/cut my locs. Some people are still under the impression that locs are “permanent” and cannot be removed. I will say that it is a super tedious process but not at all impossible. This happens to be the 3rd set I removed.

I began removing my locs in the top section of my head on April 27th. I picked away at it (literally with a thumb tack) for 3 weeks straight. I cut about an inch from the ends because most of the hair towards the ends was dead anyway. So why spend more time than absolutely necessary?

Please check it out and let me know what you think.

I’m still reeling from my #SneakReaders making Betrayed #22 at

I know this book is wayyyy late and I’m so sorry about that.

Actually I had this book ready a week and a half ago, but a lot of negative talk prevented me from really completing the book. On top of that, my car broke down so getting up at four in the morning and then getting to bed at eleven at night kept me exhausted.

Yesterday, I worked my sweat equity for Habitat Detroit and I thought I’d come home and put my face into the book, but I was too sore and tired.

So I canceled everything on Sunday, and stuck to my guns to make sure I gave my SneakReaders what they had been patiently waiting for.

This is the fourth installment of The City Boys Series of Betrayed Book One. An urban romance suspense where…

I believe everyone can relate to these stories, because as the title implies, it could happen to you or me, maybe even someone you know.  Warning, these stories contain adult content, but it is not overly graphic. These stories deal with dating issues, sexting and alternative lifestyles. It Can Happen To You is a quick and easy read, yet it was interesting.

The ID ~My next film project @TheIDMovie

Happy Friday everyone. Can you believe the year is almost over? Wow! Time waits on no one.

I wanna start off by saying a big THANK YOU to all of you who participated in the renaming of one of my characters. It was big fun. I will have giveaways and more contests in the near future as the release of Innocence, GA draws near.

What I’m gearing up now is for my next film project ~The ID. For those of you who read my 1st Book It Can Happen To You, are familiar with The ID. For those of you who haven’t read it…yet (don’t wanna spoil it for ya), The ID is the 2nd short story in the book. I’ve been fortunate enough to have Producer/Director extraordinaire, Virginia Bair (formerly Bryant) be a part of this project, but we need your help.

Myself, Virginia, and the crew, believe so much in this project that people are committing their efforts/time PRO BONO!!! Yup, that’s right. However, we need essentials in order to get the film made, i.e., food, tapes, hard drives, lodging, and other supplies. Check out our fundraising page on IndieGoGo. We have tiers to meet every budget and, hey, depending on your level of contribution, you’ll be able to see your name on the big screen.

We hope that we can count on you to help us reach our goal.

Again, thanks to all of you who’ve been supportive and followed me on my journey…I ain’t done yet! :-)
