My #FlashFiction story: 21 ~ Part FIVE. THE FINALE #shortstory

To keep my creative, writing juices flowing, I’m choosing to partake in something called “Flash Fiction” writing. According to what I’ve read, it’s been around for many years. Essentially, it’s a short, short story under 2,000 words. However, I’ve also read that that number is fluid. So, anyhoo, together, my story surpasses that 2,000 word limit, but I’m breaking them into pieces to mimic excerpts/sneak peeks. I will not be doing any heavy editing. This is basically for FUN. But I’d still love for you to leave feedback.

Thanks and enjoy!!!

“You betta be glad you got a headache or it’d be going…DOWN!” Brian joked. “I’m about to go in the living room and catch up on some Walking Dead. I’ll keep checking on ya.” He went to exit the room.

“Wait!” I downed the pills with a swig of water and sat the glass on the nightstand. “I don’t want you to go.” The words flowed too fast for me to renege.

He walked over to my side of the bed.

“What’s up Miko?” He said in a soft and sexy tone.

I lightly tugged at the hem of his briefs, gesturing for him to lay his body on mine. On my way back, he placed both hands on my waist. And, what sparked the beginning of a bizarre set of happenings, he jerked my body violently. When I went to swat the back of his head, my hand went right through, forming a cloud of dust particles, as if he were a hologram. What the hell is going on? I raised my hands in front of my face and saw straight to the other side of the room; they were transparent.

“Timiko! Timiko!” I felt Brian’s breath on my ear.

I sat straight up as if controlled by a puppet master.

“My bad. Didn’t mean to scare you.” Brian rubbed my thigh.

I squeezed my eyes shut then opened them. I did this a few times until I got my barrens.

“You ready for tonight?”

I sat there, not uttering a word. I looked over at my closet at the mango-colored mini-skirt and nude cami I hung just outside the door the day before, in preparation for tonight’s event.

“It seemed so real.” I mumbled.

“What you say?” Brian inquired.

“Nothing.” I shook my head.

“What day is it?”

“Girl, you was getting yo sleep on, huh? It’s Friday; my 21st birthday. We about to get it in so I hope you’re ready.” Before he walked out the room he said, “I’ll go make us a drink while you take a shower. Let’s go Miko.” He clapped his hands.

I replayed the vivid details over again and smiled to myself. Just when I got to the “good” part where he was about to touch my body, he re-entered the room.

“Really Miko? I thought you were hyped about tonight. You said you’d be ready by now.”

I took the small glass of Loopy Three Olives mixed with Everfresh Lime Juice and placed it on the nightstand. I smiled.

“What?” He asked with curiosity and excitement.

“Boy oh boy. Let me tell you about my dream.”
